JOHN GRAHAM (Deaf) from Ontario, Canada did speak to the ADULTS
John Graham was totally Deaf from birth and grew up on a farm in Elmvale, Ontario, Canada. In his early life in the Deaf school, he was greatly influenced by the wrong peer group. He became very involved in stealing, drinking, and using drugs. Emptiness grew inside as John searched for something to truly satisfy him. He was totally changed by God in 1979 in Toronto! He then went to “Christ for the Nations” college in Dallas, Texas.
John and his wife Suzan, who also is Deaf, were married in 1984. Now John and Suzan have 3 children and live in Ontario, Canada. They direct "DARE Ministries". John loves to act, sing, and travel – he has gone to more than 100 different countries all over the world. In 2006, he directed his very first film called “The Lost Hinge”.
John and Suzan Graham flew to Austin. John was the main adult speaker and also did a very special drama. We pray that John and Suzan's story of their lives will continue to have a spiritual impact!

NATHAN FYLSTRA (Deaf) from Sulphur, OK did speak to the YOUTH (ages 12-21)
Nathan Fylstra was born in California. He graduated from the California School for the Deaf in Fremont in 1984. He then went to "Christ for the Nations" college in Dallas, TX and graduated in 1987. For more than 20 years, Nathan has been a youth pastor, camp speaker, and evangelist. He also now works at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. Nathan is married to Pam, who also is Deaf, since 1995. They have two hearing sons, Kyle and Jaden.
The teenagers enjoyed Nathan and his high-energy excitement! He shared many wonderful stories of God's love, and encouraged young people to follow Him!

VONDA HAMILTON (Hearing) from North Texas did speak to the KIDS (ages 5-12)
“Miss Vonda” (Vonda Hamilton) believes that deaf children don’t often have the opportunities to know God’s love. Along with her husband Steven, they developed “Expressions of Emmanuel” and already have done many video projects. Deaf and hearing kids loved her dramatic stories and silly clothes! They learned so much at this crusade!!
Vonda is a graduate of Ozark Christian College. She has been often featured on “Finger Food Café” and the “Big Bible Stores”. She has worked tirelessly in preparing songs, crafts, dramas, lessons, and kids devotionals. Steven and Vonda Hamilton live in north Texas near the Oklahoma border.

In addition we had the nursery, booths, Saturday free lunch, many volunteers, etc.....
During the 3 main events, we had up to 14 little ones in the nursery! During this 2-day event, there were 12 booths, many volunteer students from the UT and ACC interpreter training programs, and three different fast food places provided discount meals for over 200 lunches on Saturday! In addition, we want to say a huge THANKS to the planning committee and the countless other volunteers that helped with music, parking, registration, advertising, setup, teardown, etc. etc. etc.!
